Supported Workforce Supervisor Training

Program structure

Planned as five six-hour classroom days (30 hours) plus a one-week on-the-job (OJT) practicum.

Day 1
The Supported Workforce Supervisor Role
Defines the role in plain, industry-neutral terms and grounds it in support plus accountability — clearly separating supervision from clinical, legal, or personal-helping roles.
Day 2
Trauma-Informed, Recovery-Responsive & Culturally Responsive Supervision
Building safety, trust, and stigma reduction on the job — recognizing stress responses and de-escalating respectfully, without diagnosing anyone.
Day 3
Accommodation, Documentation, Safety & Legal Boundaries
Accommodation-aware, ADA-conscious supervision, factual documentation, and workplace safety — staying within clear legal boundaries and never asking intrusive medical questions.
Day 4
Teaching Work, Coaching, Feedback & Shift Leadership
Breaking work into teachable steps, leading huddles, and coaching that builds skill — plus role-safe coordination with community partners.
Day 5
Measurement, Capstone Practice & One-Week OJT Launch
Simple measures of supervision quality, a capstone scenario, and a readiness review that transitions into the one-week on-the-job practicum.

The program is industry-neutral by design — the supervision skills it builds apply across frontline workplaces, not a single sector.
